On Friday 22nd March Zoe and Phil attended Thamesview School in Gravesend to work along side Construction Youth Trust.
Skanska generously provided TFS with the opportunity to attend the Construction Youth Trust careers talk. This gesture highlights Skanska’s commitment to nurturing young talent and supporting their exploration of career opportunities within the construction industry.
The objective was to present to young people in Sixth Form about different careers and pathways within the construction umbrella.

“We spoke to a group of around 30 students currently completing their A levels. It was great to be able to speak to young people who may not know all the different avenues they can take including joining the fire & security industry.
They were engaged by asking about our experiences and how we got to where we are now, what skills were required. And was tasked with a networking workshop to try and guess what we did as our job by asking questions about our roles.
It was great to not only visit my Secondary school again but to speak to students about different avenues the industry can offer them with their current skills, courses, and personal goals.”
